The title, Al-KIMIA, roots itself in the Greek term "chyma," meaning the act of melting or fusing metals—a process laden with symbolism and mysticism since its description by Bolos of Mendes in the 3rd century BCE. A thinker of Ptolemaic Egypt and disciple of the Neopythagorean school, Bolos wove together scientific inquiry and philosophical musings, a duality that resonates deeply in this collection.

Each piece in Al-KIMIA takes the form of a scepter—a potent symbol of authority and transformation—yet with an unexpected twist. Rather than rigid, traditional forms, these scepters mimic the organic, chaotic elegance of a splash of paint, frozen mid-motion and cast in bronze.
